Summary

‘Preview send’ is an essential part of verifying your campaign. This particular functionality allows you to check how the email will appear in your own inbox, as well as sharing it with colleagues for proofreading and sanity check ahead of a full on send.

If you have the option to add different ISP and email providers, who can receive the ‘preview’ campaign, such as Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL etc. do it.

The ‘Preview sends’ are free. The feature can only be used for ‘preview testing’ your campaign – not for sending it.

Using the ‘Preview’ function

The ‘Preview’ function can be initiated by clicking on Send Preview button available on the campaign creation page just below ‘generate plain text’ feature.

The subject line will be prefixed with [Preview] follow by the subject line and the tracking will not be enabled as this would be only a ‘preview test’.

If you have to ‘send preview’ of the campaign to more than one email address you can do so by adding alternative email addresses and simply choosing one of them by using the drop-down menu.

NB You will be able to ‘send preview’ to only one email address at a time.

Adding alternative email addresses


This functionality can be found under Profile.

Navigate to Change email and you will see the Alternative Email Addresses function.

Type the alternative email address you want to add to your account and click Add.

You will notice the email address is not verified yet. In order to verify it check the added email’s inbox for the verification email. Click on the link to validate it.

That’s it, you have the alternative email address added to your account.
